Personality:

Hikari is always there for everyone and will never turn down a friend in need. She does this in hopes of drowning out her feelings of depression, trying to fill the void. She'll add witty commentary onto any conversation that she finds "dull", even if this annoys others. Hikari may be there to lend a helping hand, but don't be surprised if she laughs in your face first. Hikari is a bit sadistic and takes delight in the misfortune of others and makes sure to take in the moment before coming to help. While she truly wants to help, despite the laughing, Hikari can be bossy at times. She doesn't realize that she is being bossy, so she will need someone to stop her if she goes too far.

Biography:

Hikari lives with her family in an apartment in Japan. When Hikari was fourteen years old, her older brother, Hiroshi, had gotten with the wrong kind of people. The night of August 14th, the gang that Hiroshi had joined decided to break into an apartment complex. When Hiroshi refused to help them, telling them that his family lived there, Hikari heard her brother yelling outside. Sticking her head out of the window, she yelled down at him to come in because it was so late. In a rush of panic, one of the teens shot at Hikari, the bullet missing her heart, but still injuring her where she entered the Heat-Haze. When Hiroshi saw this happen, he tried to strangle the kid, but was ultimately shot and killed in the scramble.

Hikari returned from the hospital to find that everyone at her school had spread rumors about her brother; that he was a wanted criminal, that he was doing drugs, even that he was the one who had shot Hikari. Hikari's classmates began to fear her just for being related to someone so shady. She constantly said that she wished people would just forget about what had happened. Despite all of the name calling and bullying she received, Hikari didn't snap under the pressure. She acted as if nothing had happened and held her head up, knowing that they were wrong about her brother.

One day when Hikari was walking home from school, a boy who frequently bullied her decided to follow her. When she sensed that she was being followed, she changed direction toward the park; with all of the people around, she wouldn't be hurt there. When she reached the park, Hikari unknowingly entered a Heat-Haze zone. Turning around to yell at her pursuer, the boy had a blank look on his face, which scared Hikari. Screaming to draw attention to herself, she slapped the boy across the face, yelling "PERVERT!". When everyone turned to look, Hikari ran while the boy still stood in place, looking confused as ever.
